Acupuncture Health Clinic, an environmentally friendly clinic devoted to complementary and holistic health care is located in Twain Harte, California. It is run by Katie Lawler, a nationally certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and California-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She moved to this beautiful Sierra mountain village after spending several years interning in San Francisco at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, the Zen Hospice Center, and the Jewish Home for the Aged.
Katies specialties include body pain (back, neck, knee, hip), migraines, womens health (including menopause, PMS), stomach problems, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, allergies, asthma, and diabetes. She also works extensively with overweight patients as obesity affects all areas of life and is one of the most important health challenges facing Americans today. Acupuncture offers an alternative to fad diets and other unsuccessful programs. Other modalities that are used in the clinic include: Tui na (Chinese massage), moxibustion (warming herbs applied to specific areas of the body), electro-acupuncture, auricular (ear) acupuncture, and cupping (suction). Only single-use, sterile, disposable, hair-thin needles are used in the clinic. Non-needle, electric acupuncture is also available.
For over 2,500 years, acupuncture has been used around the world as a cost-effective health care system. While many people know that acupuncture is helpful for pain relief, they may be surprised to learn of the many other ailments that have been successfully treated. Clinical trials have shown acupuncture to be effective in reducing cancer side effects such as vomiting, nausea, pain, and fatigue. Stroke, arthritis, memory loss, anxiety, insomnia, incontinence, colds and flu, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, PMS, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), stomach problems (including acid reflux), hearing loss, and tinnitus can all be treated with acupuncture. To view additional information on the web go to the World Health Organization www.who.org, National Institutes of Health www.nih.gov, and the California Dept. of Consumer Affairs Acupuncture Board www.acupuncture.ca.gov.
Katie will work with you individually, or together with you and your doctor to support you in your healthcare choices. As a primary health care provider in the state of California, her office will give you a superbill for your insurance company. Worker compensation patients can also be treated with acupuncture. The cost of an initial exam is $75 and basic acupuncture treatments are $55. With herbs, the total for the first visit is approximately $150 and follow-up visits are about half of this, depending upon the diagnosis. (Please refer to the Fees For Services schedule listed below.)

The relentless grip of chronic anxiety had consumed my life for far too long, leaving me in a constant state of unease. Then, I discovered Acupuncture Health Clinic, my acupuncturist. Their acupuncture treatment was nothing short of a miracle, completely alleviating my anxiety. My heart brims with gratitude for the transformation they've brought to my life. Before crossing paths with Acupuncture Health Clinic I had the privilege of experiencing Biomagnetism therapy, and the profound benefits it bestowed upon me linger in my memory. Biomagnetism therapy is rooted in restoring the body’s pH balance by applying magnets to specific areas of the body. This unique approach expedites healing and fosters overall well-being. Notably, it's non-invasive and drug-free, harmonizing seamlessly with any treatment, whether it's conventional or alternative. I wholeheartedly recommend to Acupuncture Health Clinic the integration of Biomagnetism with their acupuncture practice. The potential synergy between these two healing modalities could lead to even more holistic and rapid healing experiences for their patients. For those eager to delve deeper into Biomagnetism therapy, I invite you to explore DrGarciaBiomagnetism. com, a rich resource for understanding the science and benefits behind this therapy.
