Viking Propane, Inc., is an independent propane company located in the heart of Yolo County. Our service area includes Yolo County, Solano County, Sutter County, Colusa County and Lake Berryessa.

We take our motto, “Where Service Always Comes First” very seriously. We want our customers to be satisfied.

We provide a number of services to our propane customers including gas line installations and tank installations for your home, office or shop. We also install almost any propane appliance, including propane water heaters, propane heaters, propane stoves, and propane dryers. We also repair propane appliances for our propane customers.

Propane for residential use generally consists of cooking, water heating, home heating, clothes drying, pool/spa heating and barbecuing.

You will save money by using propane instead of electricity. It costs you almost twice as much to operate an electric appliance than a propane appliance, for example, an electric water heater could cost you $60.00 more per month to operate than a propane water heater.

We have various size tanks available for installation. Typically, residential customers use a 250 gallon tank. We also have 150, 500 and 1000 gallon tanks available, depending on your needs.

We have two types of delivery routing, Regular Route and Will Call. For Regular route customers, we monitor their usage and fill the tank when needed. Will Call customers must call ahead of time for delivery so it can be scheduled when we are in the area.

We also have a budget payment plan. We determine your yearly usage and you pay a budget payment every month. This way you can build up a credit for the winter and you don’t have to worry about receiving a big bill during the winter months.

Other uses of propane include commercial, industrial and agricultural. These applications include dispensing units, shop heating, office heating, water heating, forklifts, greenhouses, generators, dairy heating and water heating, crop drying, weed burning and much more.

We have a wide variety of propane products, including water heaters, space heaters, fireplace inserts, fireplaces, gas logs, shop heaters, patio heaters, crab cookers, turkey fryers, 5 to 100 pound cylinders and numerous propane fittings and regulators.

The services we offer to our propane customers include trenching and gas line installation, installation and repair of most propane appliances, GasCheck® and cylinder valve replacement and requalification.

GasCheck® is a complete safety inspection of your gas system from the tank to the appliances. A leak check is performed and the efficiency of your appliances is checked and adjusted if necessary to insure that the appliances are operating efficiently. The more efficient your system runs, the less propane you burn. It is recommended that a GasCheck® be performed once a year to insure safe and efficient operation of your gas system.
