We do not accept the proposition that persons charged with crimes are necessarily guilty of any wrongdoing. Obviously, political agendas on the part of different state or federal prosecutors, personal animus on the part of individual law enforcement officers, socio-economic and ethnic status of individual citizens, illegal searches and seizures as well as simple capriciousness and indifference on the part of government agents and agencies are all factors that contribute to the ultimate decision of who may be charged with a crime.
We truly believe that a person charged with a crime is innocent until the contrary is proven and that it is the governments responsibility to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that an accused person did in fact commit a criminal act. It is only by this strict adherence to principles originally announced by the founding fathers of this nation that we, both as individual citizens and as a country, will remain free. Your liberty is our top priority.
