North Valley Hockey and Sports Complex (NVHSC) is an inline roller hockey league located in Chico, California. Established in 2003, our non-profit, all volunteer organization is dedicated to teaching the sport of inline hockey to boys and girls ages 6 to 18. NVHSC has nearly 150 participants forming 16 in-house and 3 travel youth teams. We see this sport as a health alternative for those youth of Chico and surrounding communities who are not drawn to the traditional athletic opportunities of this area.

TRAVEL HOCKEY TRYOUTS
All players interested in trying out for the team must attend the Tryouts and first team practice.
Who: Any youth player who is thinking about trying out for the Chico Firebirds travel hockey teams or getting in better hockey condition.
When: Thursday, November 11th
Time: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (10U-5pm, 12U-6pm, 14U-7pm, 16U-8pm)
Cost: $35.00 per player

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Beginner to experienced goaltenders wanting to improve their skills and conditioning.
This clinic will be very challenging; goalies will need to be focused at all times! The 45 minutes on-rink session will be geared toward breaking down the mechanics of goaltending. Exercises will focus on stance, footwork, butterfly, slides and save selection. The goaltenders will face “live shooters” in drills. Goaltending staff will be on hand to provide analysis and feedback during the drills. This high octane workout will help you identify and maximize your strengths for use in your league play this season. Due to the high interest in this clinic we will now offer two groups per session.

Our objective is to provide the goalies with a better understanding of the flexibility, strength, mobility, angles, and posture that is needed to be a better all around goalie.
