The Learning Academy was established in Santee in 1984 and offers quality pre-school (ages 2-4 years) and elementary school (K-3) programs to the families of our community. In January, 2003 we moved toour new facilityat 11646 Riverside Drive in Lakeside. Current enrollment is 60 students with 5 staff members.

Elementary Program: Our goal is to offer an alternative to parents that prefer the traditional, time-tested methods of education for their child. We offer awell-rounded academic program that includesReading, Mathematics,Science,American History, Spelling,Geography, Language Arts,Computer Skills,Penmanship andMusic/Art; small class size;a safe, caringenvironment; and, a fun place to learn. Parent participation is always welcomed and encouraged!

Summer School Program: The Learning Academy also offers a summer school program for elementary students from mid-June through the end of August. Students are welcome to come at any time between 6:30 am and 6:00pm. Scheduled activities with a weekly "theme" begin at 9:00 am. In addition to fun and interesting summer activities, a portion of each day is spent reviewing basic academic skills presented during the previous school year.
