Welcome to FeathererPet.com, the new on-line home of Featherer Pet, Inc. We are a small family owned company dedicated to providing high quality pet supplies to pets and their people. Our company is based in Northern California in the historic and beautiful city of Benicia. We started our business back in 1983 and have been serving pet lovers in Benicia and the surrounding area for over 20 years! We look forward to serving you, our on-line customers! If you are looking for a particular product and you don't see it in our on-line store, please call or e-mail us and we would be happy to do our best to locate it for you.

Featherer Pet's Mission is to provide people and their pets with the highest quality products, service and honest information to better the lives of the animals and the people who love them.

Delores Featherer, owner, established Featherer Pet back in 1983 when she had the opportunity to become a distributor of Pet-Eze Pet Door Panels. She started out by selling the pet doors out of her home for extra income while she was a stay-at-home mom raising her two daughters. Of course, this led to a small show-room which led to a small store, and that led to a larger store with a full line of pet supplies and pets! Delores now runs the show here at Featherer Pet and she also raises and shows beautiful Miniature Schnauzers.

Bob Featherer, owner, is Delores' husband and also partner in business here at Featherer Pet, Inc. In the early days, Bob would go out and do the installations of the pet doors that Delores sold. Bob is also the financial wizard of Featherer Pet and without him, we would not be where we are today.

Karen Featherer-Hubbard, owner and general manager, is Bob and Delores' youngest daughter. Karen started working in the family business as a teenager thanks to a fascination with tropical fish. She is the resident fish expert, so if you are having trouble with your aquarium, or you just need a little advice, Karen is the one to ask. Karen got her college degree in Marketing and went on to work for Marineland Aquarium Products for four years as an outside salesperson--consequently learning even more about aquarium keeping! Karen returned to Featherer Pet in 2003 to help run the operation of our store.

Eve, owner and resident store kitty, is our little darling we adopted from the Benicia-Vallejo Humane Society in the summer of 2003. Eve greets our customers in the store each day and brings joy to our lives and our customers.

Our main storefront is located at 1202 East Fifth Street in Benicia, California. If you are nearby, we invite you to visit us in person. For those customers who don't live near our main store, we are in the process of creating our on-line store with most of the products available in our main storefront. We can't wait to see you and serve you soon!
