Busch Geotechnical Consultants (BGC) is an independent geologic and geotechnical consulting firm that works primarily in northern California and southern Oregon. The firm has been in business since 1985. The principal, Bob Busch, holds a Ph.D. in geology and is a Certified Engineering Geologist in California and Oregon. He has been a geologist since 1967 and has worked in the Pacific Northwest since 1978. BGC carries general liability insurance and errors and omissions insurance.
BGC routinely provides services to cities, individuals, companies, federal and state agencies, plus engineering, surveying, and architectural firms. The firm has worked on projects ranging in size from single lots to over 10,000 acres.
The firm operates out of a 2400 sq. ft. main office building located at 905 Sixth Street in Arcata, California, and a second office in Harbor, Oregon. BGC's soil lab is in Arcata.
