On a small parcel between an old creek and a relatively new road in the middle of the verdant Napa Valleys vine-clustered floor, the people of St. Stephens have carved out an island of sanctity and sanity, a refuge from the storm of doctrinal, political, and social confusion that now afflicts so much of the Anglican world. Young and old and all ages in between, we are commanded to Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness. This is our parishs mission statement, the only one we anticipate we ever will need. Following that commandment in community restores a Christian in the Spirit. It refreshes us and restores us in the tranquility that Christ won for us on the most holy and life-giving Cross, the hub of created time where He fulfilled His own commandment to the Apostles upon His institution of the Sacrament of His Body and Blood: If you love me, obey my commandments. If we love Him, we will Do this in remembrance of (Him). It is the one thing needful, the sum and substance of our corporate life as warriors in the Church Militant and members of His Bride, the Church. We hope you will join us in three dimensions someday as soon as you are able. Let us rise and be on our way.
